Questions

Which markets trade on the weekend?

US stock exchanges close at 4PM ET on Friday and reopen on Monday; CME futures stop at 5PM ET on Friday and reopen at 6PM ET on Sunday, and forex reopens at 5PM ET on Sunday. Perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid listed by trade.xyz, covering the S&P 500, a US 100 tech index, gold, silver, WTI and Brent oil, EUR/USD and USD/JPY, keep trading through the weekend.

How is the weekend price set?

During market hours each contract follows the outside market. When the outside market closes, trade.xyz switches the contract to a price set by Hyperliquid's own order book, and switches back at the reopen. So the weekend price is what traders on Hyperliquid are paying, not a quote from the closed market.

What does the change on this page measure?

The move since the last session close. On weekends that is Friday's close (5PM ET, 6PM ET for Brent); on weekdays it is the previous day's close. The close is the contract's last trade before the session ended.
