Questions
What counts as paying token holders?
DefiLlama's holders revenue: the part of a protocol's revenue that reaches its token holders, by buying tokens back, burning them, or distributing fees to stakers. For a chain such as Ethereum or Tron it is the transaction fees the chain burns.
Why is a new protocol missing from the list?
A protocol must also have paid holders in the previous 30 days to be listed. Without that rule, a launch a few days old can rank near the top on a handful of days of data, before anyone can judge whether it lasts.
How often does the list update?
DefiLlama publishes daily figures. This page reads them about once an hour, and products are grouped under their parent protocol, so Uniswap's versions count as one row.
