MCP server
Live crypto data for Claude, Cursor and your AI agents
Cockpit’s MCP server connects your assistant to real-time crypto news, whale transfers, derivatives funding and open interest, and prices, so it answers with what the market is doing now.

Are traders crowded long anywhere, and are whales moving money to exchanges?
calls get_derivatives_pulse and get_whale_transfers
Funding is near neutral on BTC and ETH. Two mid-caps sit well above the neutral rate, so longs there are paying up. The largest recent transfers are stablecoins moving onto an exchange; each one links to its transaction.

Guardrails
- Read-only. Your assistant can look things up, never trade, move funds or change your account.
- Your key, your control. We store a fingerprint, not the key; revoke it and access stops within a minute.
- Fair limits: 60 calls a minute per key and 2,000 a day per account, so one runaway agent cannot drain anything.
- Data, not advice. Answers come from public market data; decisions stay yours.
Questions
- What is the Cockpit MCP server?
- A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants read Cockpit's live crypto data: news from 9 newsrooms, large on-chain whale transfers with transaction links, perpetual futures open interest and funding across Binance, Bybit and Hyperliquid, and spot prices.
- Which AI assistants work with it?
- Any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Windsurf, plus stdio-only clients through mcp-remote. The account page gives a ready-to-paste command or config for each.
- Is it safe to connect?
- Yes. Every tool is read-only: the assistant can look data up but cannot trade, move funds or change your account. Keys are shown once and stored only as a fingerprint, you can revoke them at any time, each key is limited to 60 calls a minute, and each account to 2,000 calls a day.
- How much does it cost?
- MCP access is included in Cockpit Pro, which has a 7-day free trial. The rest of the Cockpit dashboard stays free.
- What is the server URL?
- https://app.incockpit.xyz/api/mcp, authenticated with a Bearer key you create under Account, AI / MCP.
